High-definition TV is a revolution in television-watching on the scale of colour TV vs. black & white.  It's that different.  From a technical perspective, it provides up to 1080 lines of horizontal resolution, versus 480 for regular TV.  Add to that six times as much sharpness, and HDTV can be like you're looking out a window - the quality difference is simply that stunning.

Compton now offers more than 80 HD channels, with more being added regularly.  The other guys claim more, but their total includes 17 French HD channels, 10 PPV HD channels, 18 premium sports pack HD channels as well as 2 Western Canada movie channels you can't get.  Look beyond the marketing and discover true value and superior customer service from our local staff.

Other Channels in HD

To get HDTV, you need a television capable of displaying 1080i or 720p formats (480p isn't really HDTV).  You'll also need a set-top digital terminal from us, such as the DCX3400 or DCX700, to process and output the signals.

To find out more about the pricing of our HDTV products, click on the 'Pricing and Packaging' link on the navigation bar.  Certain packaging restrictions apply, call our office for details.
